Ankle sprains/strains are a top injury in the dance world. With this routine for prevention of ankle sprains, you'll learn how to stabilize the key muscles that surround the ankle joint.
Ankle sprains should not be taken lightly because they can lead to chronic injuries as well as inhibit a dancer from progress in their career. Ankle sprains can also inhibit a dancer from progressing to en pointe status or derail pointe technique.
For a strong and stabile ankle, perform this ankle injury prevention routine 2-3x a week. I recommend doing 2-3 rounds of this routine itself each time you perform your ankle sprain prevention routine.
