Since putting the stage 1 tune on my WRX i've been reading a lot about tuning, and I've seen how rich and "safe" the Stage 1 tune is, but despite all that it manages to make far more power than stock. I've also seen the huge power gains people get with "Pro tunes" but I don't really want to have to spend $500 on a new tune each time I make a small change. So I couple months ago I signed up for for Accesstuner through cobb, which is "free" however requires you to take a tuning course with EFI University for $150. So basically it's $150 for the software. But the courses are actually quite good. I've learned a lot about EFI and tuning and its made me far more comfortable with the whole concept of tuning the car myself. There are a bunch of different lessons (see below) that go into different aspects of EFI, Tuning, and items specific to Subaru tuning. Next time I'll be finishing up the lessons and moving on to installing and setting up the software...
