Описание: Walking in the Viking Age in the 9th Century London (Latin: Londinium; Old English: Lunden), England. In 43 CE, the Romans settled the town of Londinium. The wall that ran around the settlement had six gates built into it; one of them was named after King Lud, who ruled pre-Roman Britain around 66 CE. The Roman settlement became the bulk of what would be known as the City of London.

Lunden became subjected to Viking raids during the early 9th century and eventually became overran by the Great Heathen Army in the 860s. In 878, West Saxon forces led by Alfred the Great defeated the Vikings at the Battle of Ethandun and forced their leader Guthrum to sue for peace.
