Nearly 70 people were arrested Tuesday in a major Florida drug enforcement operation that resulted in the seizure of drugs worth nearly $1 million.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced the results of “Operation CandyMan Crackdown,” which involved the execution of 39 search warrants and led to 68 arrests, including 50 individuals facing trafficking charges. The bust yielded 349 pounds of marijuana, 2 kilos of crack cocaine, a half-kilo of fentanyl, along with heroin, ecstasy and methamphetamines.
