In our first Demo Day of 2026, we showcase powerful new flexibility across Rover ERP’s web platform alongside long-awaited quality-of-life improvements in the .NET client. This session highlights host-driven validation, dynamic approval workflows, customizable lookups, accounting extensibility, installer automation, and improved window behavior in the Net Client.

These updates are designed to reduce friction, unlock new integration possibilities, and give teams more control—without waiting on constant web releases.

🔄 Web Platform Enhancements: Host-Driven Flexibility

Customizable invoice list lookups using MRK Control

Ability to fully control which columns and data appear in invoice tables

Existing features preserved (download, email, print, Qlik events)

Host-Side Validation & Dynamic Actions

Validation logic triggered when continuing to payment

Validation responses can:

Display dynamic FormsDef approval forms

Pre-fill default values (date and logged-in user)

Enforce approvals before continuing workflows

Display dialogs or route users to other screens or URLs

FormsDef Improvements

Dynamic forms generated directly from FDICT definitions

Dropdown values, fields, and defaults fully controlled on the host

New dynamic defaults supported:

%SD for today’s date

%USER for the current logged-in user

Forms can now include embedded data tables (e.g., invoice line items tied to approvals)

💰 Accounting Module: Configurable Views & Approvals

Support for additional accounting lookups defined in Account Control

New KPI-style cards generated automatically for each lookup

Cards can:

Open a specific lookup view

Launch a FormsDef action tied to accounting workflows

Example use case: reviewing and submitting approval forms that automatically remove items from approval queues

🎟️ Ticketing Module Usability Improvements

Filters and sorts now persist when opening and returning from tickets

Ticket list refreshes intelligently to reflect updates (e.g., closed tickets)

Eliminates the need to reapply filters when navigating between tickets

🖥️ .NET Client Quality-of-Life Updates (Pre-Release)

Z-Index & Window Management

Optional “Legacy Z-Index Mode” restores classic behavior:

All Rover windows stay grouped together

Prevents Outlook, Excel, or other apps from appearing between Rover windows

Toggle legacy mode on or off at any time—no restart required

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

Lookup dialogs and selection grids no longer trap focus

Dialog windows no longer minimize or lose their parent window

Fix addresses long-standing issues with windows disappearing behind other applications—even with legacy mode off

⚙️ Installer Enhancements: Admin & IT Friendly

Full command-line installation support:

Quiet (/qn) and minimal UI (/qb) installs

Ideal for scripted, organization-wide deployments

All configuration options can be set without user interaction

Improved Configuration Control

Choose which login fields are shown:

Full configuration

Username/password only

Advanced settings editable or read-only

Enable multiple configurations during install

Option to override existing configurations during reinstall
