Описание: Monday September 10 2018 at 8.52. The 7am Edinburgh to Plymouth(15.43) train, the 6.25 Liverpool to Newcastle(9.24) train and the 6.01 Glasgow to Southampton(15.17) train. This is 5 miles south of Durham on the East Coast Main Line. The latest NR figures say that 54 vehicles use this crossing each day which seems very unlikely. The road isn’t passable so the only users go to and from the house. On an icy day in 2014 a lorry slid down the hill and came to a halt touching a lowered barrier. Someone committed suicide here in 2009. Harder wearing rails are being tested on the bend to try and save on maintenance costs. About 250 people live in Hett. The village is away from the line though so they don't get het up about the noise. It is quite an attractive location for a level crossing. Six minutes of the wait here was cut.
