Per questo Locman ha voluto dedicare all’Isola di Montecristo un’intera collezione di orologi. Che nasce nel 2010 con Montecristo Classic, diventata negli anni l’icona della Casa elbana. Montecristo Classic è il primo orologio con movimento meccanico a carica automatica rielaborato in-house dai tecnici e dai maestri orologiai della SIO, la Scuola Italiana di Orologeria fondata da Locman nel 2006. Costruito sulla base di un progetto tecnico complesso, Montecristo Classic crea un’idea di leggerezza grazie all’alternarsi di pieni e vuoti. Un gioco originale che rende il design unico.

On a clear day, when the island of Elba is swept by the north-westerly winds, the island of Montecristo can be seen from the Locman office in Marina di Campo, unmistakable on the horizon with its mountainous, cone-shaped silhouette.

Its outline, shrouded in mist and mystery, disappears from view when the wind changes but will remain in your memory, and in your heart, for much longer: an ideal destination. Maybe this is the true treasure of the Island of Montecristo: emotion, stimulated by the clear air that vibrates with the sounds of nature, and the deep sea, shimmering with colour.

That’s why Locman decided to dedicate an entire watch collection to the Island of Montecristo. It was launched in 2010 with the Montecristo Classic, which over the years has become an icon of the Tuscan brand. The Montecristo Classic is the first watch with a self-winding mechanical movement redeveloped in-house by the technicians and master watchmakers of the SIO (Scuola Italiana di Orologeria – Italian School of Watchmaking) founded by Locman in 2006. Built according to a complex technical design, the Montecristo Classic creates a sense of lightness by alternating between full and empty spaces. An original interplay that renders the design unique.
