🤔 Originally released in 1988 in Japan for the Famicon, we wouldn't see a Western release of this game until 2003 with the "Final Fantasy Origins" collection on PlayStation. Instead, the U.S. received Final Fantasy IV from Japan released as Final Fantasy II for the SNES in 1991. Thankfully since the release of Final Fantasy VII we've had proper numbering for all subsequent releases.

‼️I have started the mission of completing all of the main line Final Fantasy game platinum trophies on PlayStation. This is the second game in the series and introduced a new leveling system that would go on to be utilized in the SaGa series also produced by Squaresoft.

0:00 - Intro
2:41 - We begin the game outside the town of Mysidia and make our way over to the Mysidian tower now that we have the crystal rod to get inside
06:48 - Our ship gets sucked into a giant whirlpool and we end up inside the belly of Leviathan. Leila is separated from the party but is replaced for now by Ricard, the last dragoon
18:07 - Our heroes defeat the Roundworm guarding the ship, regain the ship, and escape Leviathan. We make a quick stop in Altair to heal up before heading to the Mysidian Tower
24:03 - With no further obstacles in the way, we enter Mysidian Tower and begin our ascent to the top floor
1:17:25 - Arriving at the 10th floor, we're reunited with Minwu who sacrifices himself to remove the seal that was guarding the Ultima Tome. With the Ultima Tome in hand, we make a few detours to gather some Bestiary entries
2:10:39 - We return to Castle Fynn to speak with Hilda and Gordon to learn that a massive Cyclone created by the Emperor is outside of Fynn and is threatening to destroy it like it did many towns already. We summon the Wyvern egg to the castle via the mirror in order to ride the newly hatched Wyvern into the Cyclone, THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
