The Nike Pegasus 36 Trail performed better than expected on the Barr Trail today heading up a 14,115' mountain in Colorado, called Pikes Peak. Don't judge a book by its cover as they say, and I definitely was doing that in my mind with the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail. I simply was not convinced that the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail was ready for aggressive mountains. Overall, outside of grip on some of the gravel based Pikes Peak Ascent trail (Barr Trail), I would say that the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail performed pretty well. The lock down in the heel was probably my favorite feature in the 2 hour upward climb in the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail running shoe. More updates soon after 50 miles!
