Ariselu is a traditional sweet prepared for Sankranthi Festival in South India.especially in Andhra and some Telangana Regions.There is a reason for making this recipe.Sankranthi is a harvest festival
Ingredients 1 Cup rice flour 1/2 whole wheat flour 1/2 cup jaggery 1 cup water 2 tbsp Sesame seeds 1 tsp cardamom powder 1 tbsp ghee ghee for deep fry for garnishing sesame seeds Process : Take jaggery and add water, bring it to a boil Add cardamom powder and ghee Next add rice flour, wheat flour and mix well making sure there are no lumps. Cover with a lid and let it cool down a bit Next add a tbsp ghee and knead the dough , pinch a ball sized dough and coated with sesame seeds Flatten with your fingers into a small thick puri on a butter paper or banana leaf Heat ghee on medium flame and drop the prepared Ariselu Don’t flip or put any spoon until the bubble stop, the Ariselu will puff automatically! Flip and cook on both sides Now press to remove excess ghee and they are ready
