MU Online (2001, PC Mmo Gameplay 2020)

Описание: MU Online is am Isometric 2.5D Mmo released for PC in 2001. The game was, and still is produced and published by Webzen.


This is going to be a VERY SHORT review, i'm NOT one to play 2.5D isometric Mmos, especially ones dated as far back as BILL GATES' ARK. I am very surprised this game was as busy as it was when I got into game, shop sellers everywhere but no one talking in chat.


Graphics:
The graphics still strangely have some appeal to them, maybe because it looks all hand drawn. It kinda reminds me of the more modern hand drawn crappy Asian mmos that they are flooding the mmo market with atm with cash shop over everything else. I didn't get to see any skills cos I really couldn't for the life of me figure out the menu system, where to activate skills, or even where to buy them.

Music/Sound Effects:
The game's music, of what I heard of it, seemed okay, the music outside of town sounds a little to modern for how dated the game is so i'm wondering if the game's music has been updated at some point, being they are now on season 14 with it. Sound effects add a nice touch to the game, in towns as I was edging closer to the smithy you'd start hearing the hammering fade in to place and it get's louder the closer you get.

The Bad:
Only giving the game a short amount of time, much less than usual, I just couldn't for the life of me figure out keyboard short cuts for opening menus, some menu's I couldn't even click options for, like the ESC menu, which I am pretty sure it was because I was playing the game in windowed mode.
The game is just boring, go here, go there, no clear quest markers, no tutorial to the game that starts to help you learn the system, even the mouse pointer was lagging slightly, I just hated everything about the game.

SO! would I recommend this to anyone today, hell no.. but that's just my opinion cos I don't like 2.5D mmos, especially ancient ones. I tried it out and didn't like it, sorry. IF this is your cup of tea then go ahead and try it out but don't hold your breath for anything amazing cos this game is OOLLLDDDDD and it certainly shows it with it's ancient menu systems.
