Cleveland police say five people were taken to the hospital after a bar fight led to a shooting in the Flats on Sunday evening.
Crews were called to the 1000 block of West 10th Street around 6:15 p.m. According to police, five people — including one person officers believe to be a suspect in the shooting — received first aid treatment at the scene. EMS transported the victims to an area hospital.
Cleveland firefighters were already in the area responding to overcrowding at a nearby bar when they heard gunfire, police said.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicates a fight broke out inside a nearby bar and escalated outside, leading to the shooting.
3News crews at the scene observed police officers and caution tape set up in front of the exterior of Punch Bowl Social and another nearby area outside.
