I really like the line "Perhaps it's because I'm the one of us to survive" for Near - I've always thought there was so much sadness in Near being of the few who lives. And I just love Mello being angry/bitter.
Normally I avoid unhappy ending fanfics like the plague but somehow for Meronia... i make an exception
