“I have come to Patna Sahib in Bihar from Taran Taaran in Punjab. I want to say that this is the most beautiful and heavenly smagam that I have ever seen.

I have been to many smagams and celebrations all over India - but this celebration of the 350th Prakash Divas of Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji is very special.

The are many institutions and groups here serving langar and doing sewa of the pilgrims. I have visited Rara Sahib Wale, the UK Sangat from Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha, Bhuri Wale Baba Ji and many others- they are all doing fantastic sewa - serving langar, making food, cleaning dishing and much more …

The paramount purpose of celebrating Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s 350th Prakash Purab is to pay loving tribute to the Saint-Soldier Guru, who not only created the Khalsa fraternity, but also blessed Sikhs with the highest exalted spiritual authority – Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

2017 marks a very special year for Bihar and the Sikhs as they celebrate the 350th Prakash Divas of Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji, tenth Guru of the Sikhs who was born at the place marked by the shrine called Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib in Bihar.
