Pakistan’s NADRA has launched a massive digital crackdown against fake Pakistani identity cards, exposing over 250,000 forged CNICs — most of them belonging to Afghan nationals living in Quetta, Chaman, and Pishin.

A special AI-based software identified suspicious entries in family trees, where Afghan nationals were illegally added through corrupt agents in exchange for money. These fake CNICs are now being auto-blocked, and holders have been ordered to verify their identity at NADRA offices.
