British peacekeepers, who protected the so called "safe area" of Gorazde, are nearing the end of their journey home from Bosnia.
They arrived in the Croatian port of Split Saturday as the United Nations continues to pull out all but a handful of its monitors from the town.
Touching down in Split and that bit nearer home.
For these British troops it is all over. Their mission in Bosnia is complete.
For months they have been stationed in Gorazde, the so called U-N "safe area" east of Sarajevo.
They are one half of the 170 strong British contingent that has been based in the enclave.
With them on the flight today 10 Norwegian observers.
The rest of the British are due to leave by Tuesday.
From then on NATO and its warplanes will be in charge of protecting Gorazde.
65-thousand Muslims live there surrounded by Serb troops.
Many observers believe that once all the U.N. peacekeepers have finally gone, Gorazde will go the way of the other "safe areas".
Like Zepa and Srebrenica, they fear Serb troops will move in and force the Muslims out - more refugees in a war that has claimed the lives of thousands and torn the Balkans apart.
