Pickett's Charge Burger Challenge in Gettysburg!!

Описание: A&Z #322 – Atlas vs "Pickett's Charge" Burger Challenge in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania!! (2015 Eastern Tour – Day #32 / Challenge #36) Hey everybody! Day #32 of my 2015 Eastern USA & Canada Tour and for this food challenge, I'm at Blue & Gray Bar & Grill in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I'll be taking on their Pickett's Charge Burger Challenge which is named after a "charge" that occurred during the Battle Of Gettysburg during the great Civil War. It involves a multi-patty towering cheeseburger that uses grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns!!

Blue & Gray Bar & Grill's "Pickett's Charge" Burger Challenge ($25):

There are four big 1/2 pound burger patties stacked and held together between 3 grilled cheese sandwiches. The burger also includes more cheese, bacon, and healthy vegetables. Along with the burger the challenge includes about 3 lbs of delicious chili cheese fries. Challengers have only 30 minutes to finish the entire 6 pound meal and winners receive the meal free along with a sweet t-shirt proclaiming their victory.

Pickett's Charge was an infantry assault ordered by Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee against Maj. Gen. George G. Meade's Union positions on Cemetery Ridge on July 3, 1863, the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg in the state of Pennsylvania during the American Civil War. Its futility was predicted by the charge's commander, Lt. Gen. James Longstreet, and it was arguably an avoidable mistake from which the Southern war effort never fully recovered militarily or psychologically. The farthest point reached by the attack has been referred to as the high-water mark of the Confederacy. The charge is named after Maj. Gen. George Pickett, one of 3 Confederate generals who led the assault under Longstreet.
