One of Bach's best loved pieces, this prelude has been recorded by numerous guitarists over the years. Most transcriptions (including this one) transpose the key from G to D and add some extra bass notes in keeping with the way Bach wrote music for the lute, an instrument similar to the modern guitar in many ways.
