Monday, March 13th 1972.
Footage of President Marien Ngouabi (1938–1977), President of the Peoples Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzeville), after he held talks at the Elysee Palace in Paris with French President Georges Pompidou.
It was the first visit of a serving Congolese president since 1962.
Reuters transcript of exchange with a French reporter translated from French:
REPORTER: "Mr. President, may I ask whether you are satisfied with the conversation you had with President Pompidou?"
PRESIDENT NGOUABI: "Yes, I must say I am satisfied with the conversation, because all the questions we covered were aimed at finding the solution--the solution of the short term and the solution of the long term."
REPORTER: "Mr. President, could you give some more precise indications concerning the statements you made during you press conference?"
PRESIDENT NGOUABI:"We will have new opportunities to meet again about all that and I am at your disposal, thank you."

Note:
Ngouabi came to power in the 1960s as an army major. He was left-wing by ideological inclination, but his visit to France was seen by some as an indication that he he was going to France to "sell the Congo to President Pompidou," and he had to crush a coup attempt prior to the visit.
He was assasinated on March 18, 1977.
