General John Nicholson assumed command of NATO's Resolute Support mission and USFOR-A today, when Gen. John F. Campbell passed the colors to him. Gen. Campbell leaves the Resolute Support after 18 months in command and almost 40 years of military service.
The ceremony took place this morning at Resolute Support Headquarters, with numerous dignitaries in attendance, among them H.E Abdullah Abdullah, Afghanistan's Chief Executive, Minister of Defense, Mohammad Masoom Stanikzai and Gen. Lloyd Austin, Commander, US Central Command.
