A new type of desulfurization station for ArcelorMittal Monlevade, Brazil

Описание: The new desulfurization station achieves sulfur levels of less than 0.005%, reduces consumption of desulfurization agents, and shortens processing times to less than 30 minutes. It is the first installation that combines a volumetric dosing device for magnesium with a dispenser for lime injection — for highest flexibility in injection ratios of magnesium (Mg) and calcium oxide (CaO).

The project also comprised a new deslagging machine, a ladle transfer car, as well as the installation of a storage and a dedusting system.
