In-Depth Mammoth 2022 is a two-part episodic series that was recorded during our time at Mammoth Lakes in August 2022 (where many southern California teams hold their annual pre-season Altitude Camp). We interviewed veteran cross country coaches from Loyola High, Mira Costa High, Crescenta Valley High, and Tesoro High and covered various topics.
In this episode we focus on Culture and coaching -- The lessons the runners learn form Cross country and the different approaches to the sport from each coach. Rich Gonzalez of PrepCalTrack delves into questions such as "what lessons do the runners learn from cross country?", "why join cross country?", and "what do you look for in runners?". Bonding is a key outcome.
