I wrote this song about growing up in North Georgia in the early 1960's. In those simpler days, my friends and I craved the adventure of exploring the mountains and Hollows around Lake Wanda Reita in Summerville, Georgia. The memories are all true. The basic challenges of having food on the table, the Hidden Cave, the swim in muddy red water, Momma's biscuits in my pockets, the Apple Orchard and Mr. Scoggin's barn.
Those chilhood memories have stayed with me all these years. I hope you enjoy "Memories Like These".
