Spyro Shuffler, if you don't know, swaps games whenever a collectable is gotten. It also syncs collectable amounts across games (gems, eggs, etc.). That makes this scenario interesting when dealing with a randomizer.
Wanted to see if the Spyro 3 randomizer mod made by hwd405 was compatible with the Spyro Shuffler plug-in I made and after some tweaks it worked pretty well overall. The only downside is some prep work is needed every time you do something like this.
The plug-in uses a checksum function and compares it to a list of known values to tell what game is being played. The checksum winds up changing once a disc image of Spyro 3 is ran through the randomizer so you have to get the value and manually put it into the list before it works.
On the plus side, it lets you play through multiple randomized versions of Spyro 3 at once.
