Suspected Lakurawa gunmen have reportedly attacked a police checkpoint at Bakinruwa–Maje in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing two police officers on duty and setting the checkpoint ablaze.
Eyewitnesses say the attackers stormed the checkpoint in large numbers during the early hours, overpowering the officers before burning the tent used by the police.
