📖 INCIDENT OVERVIEW
On May 3, 2025, Christina — a former Marion County Sheriff’s deputy — entered a bank in Ocala, Florida and left with a large amount of cash. According to investigators, bank staff quickly alerted authorities and provided key information that helped officers respond rapidly.
Within minutes, Ocala Police located Christina. Although she denied involvement, officers reported finding evidence inside her vehicle that linked her to the robbery. She was transported to the station for questioning, where investigators explained how the case was traced back to her.
Records indicate that prior to this incident, Christina had resigned from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office following an internal investigation into her conduct.
📌 OUTCOME
Christina was booked into the Marion County Jail without bond and initially charged under Florida Statute 812.13 for Armed Robbery.
The case was later adopted federally because the bank was federally insured. Prosecutors charged her with federal bank robbery, citing a written threat that referenced a weapon as qualifying intimidation under federal law.
She ultimately pleaded guilty in federal court and was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison, followed by supervised release. Federal bank robbery carries a potential maximum sentence of up to 20 years.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
