With the DJI Mavic Mini it is only possible to record video upto 2.7K. But is it worth while upscaling drone video footage to 4K using video editing software. I have created this drone footage experiment for myself to see if it is actually worth doing. I have been pondering with the idea of uploading more drone videos in upscaled 2.7K footage to 4K.
It is something I have always stayed clear of in fear of losing image quality. I am much happier to export my 2.7K footage in 1080p to give it a crisp clear look.
During ghe recording of this drone video editing video I show you how 2.7k drone footage looks when upscaled to 4k. Whether I ever upscale my footage again, remains to been seen. I'm hoping to get the DJI Mini 2 in the very near future and have the ability to shoot video in 4K and take photos in DNG (RAW) format.
