Trains at Fjällbo Vagnverkstad in Göteborg in 2021 - 4k60

Описание: The Fjällbo Vagnverkstad in the Fjällbo/Utby area of Göteborg dates to the 1920s when the locomotive works and railcar service facilities were moved east, farther away from the center of Göteborg. On the north side of the east end of Sävenäs Rangerbangård is a track that crosses the river Säveån and leads to the railcar service depot.

The overview shots of the facility were filmed from a distance and the video was shot in 4k60 so it looks better on a monitor or TV than on a phone.

0:14 - Entrance
0:25 - View of the eastern end of the Sävenäs Rangerbangård (freight switchyard). The exit to the track that crosses the road and the river to the railcar service facility is on the north side.
0:33 - Swemaint Z70 719 locomotive exits the switchyard. This locomotive was built by Kalmar Verkstad AB as Z65 505 in 1963. Z65 505 has been made as an HO scale model by Jeco in its original three-color livery in 2013.

1:26 - Two Litt. Tb/DLL locomotives pull into the facility at 16:15 on July 20th. these were built by Nohab in 1969-70. They each have their own built in turning mechanism that can lift and turn the locomotive in the opposite direction. This comes in handy as they are often used for plowing snow.

4:50 - BONUS - View of the bridge from underneath. There used to be another track from the service facility that would almost connect with the mainline (Västra Stambanan) further east in Partille from the other end of the service facility, so if there was an issue with the mainline in terms of a mudslide or an act of war/sabotage, trains could be led around via the facility. Apparently, there was a switch stored next to the mainline at the connection point in Partille that could then be fairly quickly connected if needed.
