Volunteering at a Wildlife Orphanage in Zimbabwe 🦁🇿🇼🐒

Описание: Chipangali is a wildlife orphanage, located outside Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. It is a privately owned orphanage, run by the Wilson family for more than 50 years.
I am volunteering here for 3 weeks, helping preparing food for the more than 150 animals, and cleaning enclosures.
The main goal is obviously to release the animals back to wild, but many of them are orphaned or injured and can’t survive in the wild – and is therefore taken care of at the orphanage.
The animal species range from lions, hyenas, leopards, servals, vervet monkeys, baboons, kudus, crocodiles, hedgehogs, bush pigs, sheep, pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, eagles and many more, so there is a lot of work to be done.

My name is Alex, and in December of 2023, I quit my job, sold my apartment and all my belongings to pursuit a lifelong dream of traveling full time.

The idea of traveling solo, as a middle-aged man, is both exciting and daunting, so I decided to bring my camera, and document my experiences. Not only to share my journey but also in the hopes of showing how amazing and wonderful traveling and the world truly is. 🌍
