Описание: We look at these two wonderful items from our vintage musical collection. A late 19th Century German crafted Schutz-Marke Polyphone Music Box which we are sure you will agree on plays beautifully. Ross also demonstrates a fully working Gramophone which is a late 1800’s invention by Emile Berliner. This was the first device where music could be recorded and played over and over on flat-discs.

The Gramophone was revolutionary in how music could be recorded and enjoyed. It was also a more sustainable option than the Edison phonograph which only allowed for one-time play through tin foil cylinders. This paved the way for vinyl and record players we know and love.
