Lemax Kiddie Cruise Repair with viewer addition in description

First I also had a problem running lighting wire to make a repair. The issue was the wire thickness. So I found a old control I had, removed the step down transformer and unwound the wire around the core. That wire is varnish insulated and now I have a ten year supply of that wire for future. Another thing you struggled with was pulling the wire through the chassis of device and the light pole. You could have removed the wire from the conduit that connects the reflector to the pole, with a pin vice and a small bit and I used a straightened paper clip to remove the last debris in the conduit. It was easier to do this with reflector removed from the conduit and the pole, I also went through the top and bottom of the pole with a fine drill bit just using finger tips to remove anything would give me trouble passing the wire through when I was ready to. Also there was some trouble passing thought the chassis from the top to the bottom. I drilled down through the hole from the top of chassis with a bit just slightly larger than the existing hole to make it easier to pull the wire. That’s pretty much the prep work, now I cut 2 lengths of wire from the coil wire long enough allowing for mistakes to run from the light fixture to the bottom of the ride and cleaned the insulation on the wire at the light end first I tried scraping the remove the varnish from the wire but that weakened the wire and it would break. So I got a small piece of fine sand paper, laid the wire flat on a surface and made a few swipes with the sand paper spinning the wire with every swipe, after cleaning the wire I tinned it and soldered it to a 3 mm cool white led. With a glue gun I dabbed the connections to insulate them. Next I pulled the wires through the reflector, next through the conduit, while they were separated pull the led back from the reflector, put a dab of hot glue on the led and seat the led in the reflector. Now comes the hard part. Running the wires through the top side hole down the pole. I did this by slowly creeping the wire in as far as it will go and then send a regular piece wire in through the with top end of the pole, slightly stripped to make a broom and continue to push the wire from the side and also the top until they poke through the bottom of the pole. Now pull the wire trough the ride chassis find the polarity of the leads cut and clean the wire as described earlier to length, slip some shrink tubing onto the wires solder them. Lastly I pulled the lamp post up a bit at the chassis inserted a tooth pick in the bottom of the pole for some added support put a dab of glue to secure it it place and also put a dab of crazy glue on the conduit where it goes into the reflector. That’s pretty much it. It seems long winded but I thought having the procedure in full was necessary. Working out the bugs was the hard part.
