Here you will see the difference that the Nightbrake by Manticore Arms makes on the M-85 Yugo Pap.

Pros: The felt recoil is considerably reduced as well as the flash signature. Muzzle controllability is at least 60-70% better with this muzzle attachment. Look at how much movement the firearm creates on the shooters upper body and head with and without the break. It also clearly does not push the shooter back when the device is being used. We were getting zero blowback to the shooter and the ports face upwards and outwards, in turn leaving no dust signature.

Cons: We noticed that when shooting at dusk, the upward moving flames became a hinderance from the shooters pov, and we imagine that at night this could become a real problem for follow up shots on moving targets. Dare I say it?... the "Nightbrake" might not be good at nght!

We also noticed and EXTREME increase in sound signature and the muzzle blast is alarmingly strong when standing next to and behind the shootier. You will not make new friends with the guys shooting next to you unless his hearing protection is top notch. And even still, the shockwave can almost make you dizzy...very impressive for a mid-power cartridge The brake will function on a m-92 and m-85.

Overall, after extensive research and testing I believe this to be the most effective brake on the market to date for the M-85. Remember that when attaching this device you will have to remove the original thread protector with a file or dremel tool as it is welded to the gas block. I also recommend having some high temp automotive spray paint handy to cover any marred areas after the removal. You will need to purchase the detent pin as well since the pistol does not come with this feature.
