Finally got my hands on all the Marincess cards in anticipation for Chaos Impact, so I decided to test it out with Mermails to see how it works. I ended up doing well at my locals with it, and had more fun playing this variant than the Orcust Mermail variant. The Orcust build is still a bit stronger in my opinion, and pure Marincess is probably better than this build, but Mermail is my favorite deck of all time so if I can fit new water support in it I will try it out. There's also a good chance that something in the Orcust build will get hit on the ban list in a few weeks, so I wanted to try out a build that won't get any hits and prepare for the next set.
