An African-American Muslim expat, retired professor, and activist. After traveling to 60+ countries, I now live a peaceful life in a rural Indonesian rice farming village.

I am so fascinated with spiders I got my first tattoo of one. The tattoo goes from the spider on my hand to a half web around my elbow to the full web on my shoulder. Yes. The full arm. Meanwhile, I have had some magical moments with spiders since I came to the Village. Including in my house.I managed to save a few of these miracles in photo or short video form. Check it out.
