“Opening Doors” is a health and arts project developed by Vall d’Hebron University Hospital and the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, within the framework of the Arts+Health HUB-LAB at the MNAC, a permanent space for welcoming and generating activities and research projects in the field of arts and health.
“Opening Doors” aims to improve the emotional well-being and enhance the socialization of a group of young people who have gone through an oncological process. Art becomes a space for sharing and expressing oneself, through observation, dialogue, and creation.
The project is part of a research study that evaluates its impact on the participants’ health. This research will help expand the evidence base for the potential of the arts in improving people’s health and identify art-based therapeutic tools and strategies.
