Although there will be a slight price drop in Austin real estate prices over the coming months, it will not be that massive, adds Kenn.

Instead of the record growth we have seen over the past two years, Kenn anticipates the appreciation rate will drop to 20% from the 50% growth rates we have seen year over year in the coming months because Austin real estate prices are already high!

Due to recent lumber price spikes, some builders to compensate overshot their prices (which are now calming) and are now offering discounts to move their housing inventory.

Kenn also encourages sellers to sell their homes who are considering selling because they have already benefited from a significant home appreciation boost.
