Investing In Airlines 2020 - IS IT TIME?

Al industries are being hit hard right now, and airlines definitely aren’t immune.

Today I break the impact we have seen so far on this essential industry.

Many planes are currently sitting idle which makes me think some may be ready for early retirement. This will be the case for American Airlines, delta, southwest, United, just to name a few.

As planes continue to fly, the vast majority are not at capacity, meaning they are more expensive to operate.

Whether the plane is at 100% capacity or just 59% the plane still costs the same to fly.

The main issue here is fear. People aren’t sure if they feel comfortable hopping on a plane surrounded in close quarters with hundreds of strangers.

When will we feel comfortable enough to do this again?

We will eventually have an official date when your city/state/country are open for business, but we will not have a set date as to when people feel comfortable and thins truly go back to normal.

So much emotion is at play here which is going to keep this and many other industries down.

If you are looking for long term investing opportunities then the airlines may be right for you. However, if you are looking for a short term swing you may lose everything.
