HM the Queen came to visit Hitchin in June 2012 on the occasion of her diamond jubilee. This was the first time she had visited since becoming monarch.
Compiled for Hitchin Historical Society, this video was written and narrated by former BBC newsreader, Richard Whitmore. Images and video were kindly supplied by a number of people, including Film Infinity, Alan Millard, N Herts Museum and many more. Music is by Hitchin Band, MD Craig Patterson.
