第二節「普洱尋真」講座,我們邀請了唐健垣博士與我們分享有關普洱茶的知識,包括茶種來源地、茶產品的製作、儲存以至鑑別方法等。市場上普洱茶常以製作年代劃分,包括號級(清末至1940年代)、印級(約1950年代)以至七子餅茶(約1970年代至1990年)等,從茶葉的包裝形式、設計及文字樣式等可加以辨別。透過普洱茶的鑑賞,我們可見證茶產品製作以至近代中國歷史的發展,並在探索和研究歷史資料過程中,體會追尋知識的樂趣。
In “Discovering Pu'er”, the second session of the lecture series, Dr. TONG Kin-woon was invited to share his knowledge about Pu’er tea. He discussed the provenance of various tea types, as well as their production, storage and authentication. Pu’er tea is often marketed by their year of production. The “hao” grade was produced from late-Qing to the 1940s; the “yin” grade was made around the 1950s, and the “Qizibing” tea cakes were made roughly from the 1970s to the 1990s. From the form, design and font of the packaging, one could differentiate various types of teas. The process of tea appreciation also allows us to observe the development of tea products, as well as how Chinese history evolved. Our pursuit for knowledge by exploring and studying historic materials is a joyful experience.
