The Gojukai Karate Nationals are usually a two day event, but this year were done in one day, because of the power cuts related to the Fukushima nuclear power plant problems.
We are all being told to reduce power consumption during this very hot and humid Tokyo summer, and Gojukai are doing their part..
The minute of silence for the 20,000 plus, who died in the March 11th, 2011 earthquake and 15 metre tsunami reminded us all of how we should never take each day for granted.
The partner performing with Yamaguchi Sensei is his son.
