On Saturday, Oct. 17, Partners for Breast Cancer Care and Susan G. Komen SWFL teamed up for the Largest Human Pink Ribbon Event. The event set a record for the largest human pink ribbon in the United States while raising funds for breast cancer research. The human ribbon was created by attendees standing in formation under pink umbrellas that they purchased for $20. The proceeds from the umbrellas and other items bought at the event were donated to the cause.
