Sometimes the hardest truth to accept is that pain itself can be mercy from Allah. Heartbreak, failure, illness, and loss are not punishments. They are divine protection, purification, and preparation for something far greater.

In this powerful Islamic reminder, we reflect on the Wisdom (Hikmah) of Allah SWT and why believers are tested through hardship. When we suffer, Allah removes our sins, protects us from unseen calamities, and strengthens us through weakness. Even illness becomes a means of mercy, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Sahih al-Bukhari.

Allah says in the Quran (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:216):
“Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.”

Every tear, every sleepless night, and every hardship is recorded. Nothing is wasted for a believer. This life is a test, and every test carries wisdom beyond our understanding. The victim is purified, the wrongdoer will be held accountable, and ultimate justice belongs to Allah alone.
