Fernando Llopis completed percussion studies at the Percussion Chair at of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón under the direction of César Peris and Lorenzo Ferrándiz. He expanded his studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Jan Pustjens, Gustavo Gimeno and Nick Woud, from the Royal Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. He did postgraduate studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragon with Wieland Welzel, Franz Schindlbeck (Berlin Philharmonic) and Jean Geoffroy (Soloist and professor at the Lyon Conservatory). Throughout his training he attended masterclasses with prestigious percussionists, such as Joan Iborra, Josep Vicent, Rafa Mas, Juanjo Guillem, Bill Linwood, John Beck, Rainer Seegers, Simon Carrington, Mike Quinn and Kurt Hans Goedicke.

Young Orchestras.
He was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific SOAP in Canada and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). In 2009 he joined the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (GMJO).

Professional artistic and educational field.
He has collaborated with several professional orchestras, including the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic of Galicia, the Navarra Symphony, the Extremadura Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony, the Enigma Group, the Plural Ensemble , Spanish Television Radio Symphony Orchestra (RTVE), Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra, Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, North Holland Symphony Orchestra, Portugal Symphony Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

He is a professor of the tympanum at the Superior National Academy of Orchestra of Lisbona and since 2009 Fernando is timpani soloist of the Lisboa Metropolitan Orchestra.
