We are living in an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become essential in almost all aspects of our daily lives, including education. As technology continues to redefine modern society, educational institutions are increasingly called upon to harness the power of AI to equip students with future-ready leadership skills. This panel discussion explores the critical role of AI in shaping and enhancing students’ leadership capacities, with a particular focus on its integration into curricula and co-curricular activities.
The panel will examine how AI-driven tools and practices can foster critical thinking, autonomy, analytical reasoning, adaptability, digital literacy, ethical judgment, emotional intelligence, and effective decision-making; skills determined to be fundamental for the leaders of tomorrow. Panelists will share insights into innovative pedagogical approaches that incorporate AI technologies into educational settings, such as AI-assisted problem-solving tasks, personalised learning platforms, and interactive simulations in the classroom. They will also highlight the value of integrating AI into extracurricular initiatives, including startups, leadership bootcamps, student research projects, and mentorship programs powered by intelligent systems. These initiatives can deepen students’ engagement with AI while fostering collaborative learning, resilience, and strategic foresight. The discussion will address the ethical and pedagogical considerations that must guide AI’s use in education, emphasising the need for inclusive, transparent, and human-centered approaches. Showcasing case studies and models, the panel aims to encourage educators, policymakers, and academic leaders to use AI strategically, to reimagine learning, and empower students to take on leadership roles in a rapidly changing world.
