In this session I head down to the Patawalonga Lake to chase some bream using a light spin setup. The conditions were perfect and the bream were definitely around, putting up some great fights on light gear.
For this session I was using my Shimano Quickfire XT 3–6kg spin rod paired with the Shimano Sienna FG 2500HG spinning reel, which is a great combo for targeting bream and other estuary species. I was also running an assist hook, which helped improve the hook-up rate when the bream were lightly tapping the lure.
