Happy Hilux Day with 250A Alternator
Until now Hilux owners could only get a max of 80A and probably only 40A DC to DC charge. Safiery have solved this problem with a new 250A Alternator WITH a splined clutch PK pulley. Availability is on allocation at present until stock levels lift. This will provide up to 3000W to Scotty. At 13V that’s around 230A. A nice feature of Scotty is that the output power is variable. That means 300W to 3000W. Scotty always gives priority to vehicle loads. So at idle if the alternator is only giving 120A, Scotty will take just that.
