On the Feast of Christ the King, the Church celebrates the World Youth Day. Bishop Paolo recorded a video message where he invites all the faithful of the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia to pray for the young people and to support them.
"Youth is the age that symbolizes hope. It is the age of the great questions about the meaning of life in which we begin to search for our vocation and mission. The young have great desires in their hearts. They are the present and future of the Church and society. They are called to be protagonists in the life of the Christian communities and active citizens in the world."
"I ask all of you to pray for our young people; let us meet with them in our parishes, celebrate their charisms, listen deeply to their instances and support them on their journey."
He also entrusted the youth to the intercession of Sts. Carlo Acutis and Piergiorgio Frassati: "There is nothing more beautiful than leaving everything behind and following Jesus, bringing his friendship to everybody."
