Democratic Alliance delegates are gathering at Century City in Cape Town today to elect the leadership of the party in the Western Cape.
The top spot is essentially a two-horse race between the current interim provincial leader, Tertuis Simmers and former provincial leader, Bonginkosi Madikizela.
The party says the outcome of its Western Cape Congress is of critical significance ahead of next year's general elections.
