Infectious Disease Expert Dr. Rontgene Solante says there are multiple public health issues await for the next Dept. of Health secretary,, following the dilemma in the health sector during the pandemic.
"Ang dami nating problemang naranasan and if you are a secretary of health, dapat 'yung puso mo, 'yung commitment mo should be there," Solante says.
Asked about being part of the shortlist for the next DOH chief, Solante says he was "happy," but explains that he is "more on being a clinician and part of the academe and not the public health."
Solante also reveals that he was previously asked by President Bongbong Marcos about various health issues in the country.
