Since 1983, Trees for Houston has a simple mission: to plant, protect, and promote trees. Today, the nonprofit organization celebrates the planting of its one millionth tree in the Houston metro area. The tree planting is at the Kellum-Noble House near Sam Houston Park. Trees for Houston executive director Barry Ward is live with Houston Matters producer Joshua Zinn to discuss this exciting event and what it means for Houston.
